At Her Pausitivity, we believe that menopause is not an ending — it’s the beginning of a new, powerful chapter in a woman’s life. Our mission is to educate, uplift, and empower Black women through every stage of menopause with faith, self-care, and community at the heart of everything we do.
We know that menopause is more than just hot flashes and hormonal changes — it’s a journey that touches your body, mind, emotions, and relationships. And for Black women, the experience can be even more unique, shaped by cultural, societal, and health disparities that often go unspoken. That’s why Her Pausitivity exists: to give you the tools, resources, and support that truly reflect your reality.
I’m Andrea, founder of Her Pausitivity, and like so many women, I wasn’t prepared for the changes menopause would bring. I searched for answers, but most of the advice I found was either too clinical, too generic, or completely disconnected from my lived experience as a Black woman.
Through prayer, research, and conversations with other women, I realized the need for a safe, faith-centered, culturally relevant space where we could speak openly about menopause — not as something to fear, but as a stage of life to embrace with confidence and grace.
What began as my personal journey has grown into a thriving online community — a movement — dedicated to helping Black women all over the world own their health, reclaim their joy, and thrive in their season.
We guide everything we do with four key values:
Spiritual strength is the foundation of wellness. We integrate prayer, scripture, and mindful practices into our resources to help you stay grounded and hopeful.
Information is power. Our educational articles and guides are written in plain, relatable language, backed by credible sources, and tailored to the experiences of Black women.
We honor and reflect the beauty, traditions, and unique health considerations of Black women so you always feel represented and understood.
No woman should go through menopause alone. We create spaces for open conversation, shared wisdom, and genuine connection.
Research shows that Black women often experience menopause differently — sometimes earlier, sometimes with more intense symptoms, and often with less access to culturally relevant medical advice. We address this gap by offering representation, tailored resources, and a voice that understands your unique journey.
When you visit Her Pausitivity, you’ll see yourself in the stories, examples, and solutions we share. That sense of belonging matters — and it’s at the heart of what we do.
